Hello Listers,

Is there any chance please of a look-up in the 1841 census for my gg grand father William REED and his family.

When Robert was borne in 1846 they were living at 10 High Street Shadwell. Can anyone help find who was living at this address in 1851 please.


Some recent assistatnce from Gay, for which I am grateful, says:-

"The index tells me that they are on discs H0107/703 eds 1-9 and 10-14 and H0107/715/4. (This is Wapping)
The bad news is that H0107/703 eds 10-14 are not on my cds so Im guessing they must be on the Middlesex census. I have looked through all the pages (226 of them) from 703 1-9 (High street seems to be recorded in parts) and found a number of Reeds but not your guys. There may also be parts of High street
on 703 10-14 that I don't have."

The two youngest children were born in Shadwell and the family may have moved from Northamptonshire before 1841.

They appear in the 1851 census on HO 107 1550 as:-

William b c 1806 in Whitby Yorkshire
Elizabeth b c 1811 Sheffield
Ann b c 1830 Sheffield
Emma Louise b c 1835 Northamptonshire
James b c 1836 Northamptonshire
Ambrose b c 1838 Northamptonshire
Clara b c 1844 Shadwell
Robert W b c 1847 Shadwell

Any help, information or advice will be gratefully appreciated and my thanks are sent in advance.
