I wonder if your Samuel Francis Reed could be a sibling of my
grgrgrandmother Electa Reed, born 1800 in Ct. Electa married a Huston
McMillan, but whether in Ct or NY I don't know. In 1850 census they are
living in Saratoga Spgs NY. She moved to Il about 1860. There seems to be a
lot of Reeds in Il, but there again don't know if there's any connection.
