I have a copy of the Obit of Elwwod Rees from the Twin Falls Newspaper
the Times New dated Sep 3, 1998 This obit has a picture also.

Ellwood Thompson Rees of Twin Falls died Monday, Aug.31, 1998 in Twin
Falls at the age of 91. He was living at the Bridgeview Assisted Living
Center in Twin Falls with his wife Thelma Frances.

Ellwood was born in Scipio, Utah, Aug. 7 1907 to Dr. Nephi John and Nina
T. Rees. He was raised inUtah, attending the University of Utah and
later the University of Pennsulvania where he received a doctorate
degree in medicine in 1931. Ellwood married Thelma Frances Jensen
(Frankie) Oct. 28 1932, in the Salt Lake Temple. In 1934 , he moved his
office to southern Idaho, opening as office in Jerome. He later moved
his office to Twin Falls where he practiced in 1981.

Ellwood, in association with Mr.McClusky, Dr. Marshall, and Dr. Jensen,
founded in 1947 the Twin Falls Clinic that continues to this day. He
undertook a mission for the Mormon Church to Peru from 1981 to 1983. He
served in the United States Navy, stationed in the Pcaific during World
War 11. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and served as president of
the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies.

Survivors include his wife Frankie of Twin Falls;four children, Norman
(Linda) Rees of Sequin, Wash., Dr. Jerome (Meral) Rees of Twin Falls,
Sharon (Dr. Richard) Jennings of Amarill, Texas, and Richard (Susan)
Rees of Roy, Utah; one brother, Dr. Robert Rees of Salt Lake City, Utah;
18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by
three brothers, Dr. Stanford Rees, Dr. David Rees, and Morros Rees.

The funeral for Dr. Rees will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998,
at the Elizabeth Boulevard CHurch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
in Twin Falls with Bishop Randy Hansen conducting. Interment will
follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at Reynolds Funeral
Chapel from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday, with family greeting friends from 5
until 7 p.m. Friends may also call one hour before the service on
Saturday at the church.

The family siggest memeorial contributions in memory of Dr. Ellwood R.
Rees be made to the Twin Falls Clinic Foundation Memorial gifts may be
left with chapel staff at the service or mailed to Reynolds Funeral
Chapel, P.O. Box 1142, Twin Falls, ID 83303
