I'm sorry if I sounded so severe about this. But I think it's an important
thing to know, before American genealogists become "ugly Americans" as well,
and we lose vital goodwill that is needed for us to research overseas via
mail.

Thank you to all for the help.
I will be sending to the UK and they specifically say not to send cash. They
ask for International money orders, or cheques payable in sterling. They also
accept Visa and Master Card. I think I'll try my Visa. This sounds a whole lot
easier. Has anyone done this?
