How would I go about finding the family of a SMITH born about 1806 in
PA. Just posted a query on the Unknown County GenWeb page. I do have
some possible clues in the names of his children and grandchildren, etc.
His name was Samuel L. Smith and he named children, Henry Landman Smith,
Samuel Summerfield Smith, James White Smith and Nancy White Smith.
Grandchildren and grgrandchildren were named Henry Landman and James
White so these names seem to be important. At the library yesterday
copied the pages from the census index books for Landman, Summerfield,
Smith and White with the idea that I may find a common county.
Does anyone else have any other ideas??
