I guess it is obvious that none of us should share exact birth dates
and places, social security numbers, and other personal private
information for anyone unless we receive permission.

Margaret, you bring up an interesting point...re birthdates & places. I am
concerned about sharing that information, particularly if someone wants to
publish it on a website or upload it to someone. That is information that is
private, and in many cases, is used by banks, etc. as identifying information
to allow access to account information. It is a little scarey to me that many
novices or folks who haven't considered that aspect are sharing that
information so readily! Do you have any "rules" that you use to determine
what you share and with whom?
