the best way to begin is asking oldest family members questions,
locations, etc...rootsweb howto's are the best. software? everyone has
their favorites...personally i like my cheap little software that is
backed up for free on world connect at rootsweb..... family holidays are
the best way to get oldsters talking about the past... take copious
notes, remember to always use last names and connections or later youll
say james? is that james a related to grampa b or james d related only by
marriage.... good luck and welcome to the obsession, just try to
remember that the living will always be more important than the dead, and
i say this because of experience, at times you can get carried away...
