Deaths:
SMITH, Phyllis Deborah (nee REYNOLDS) - We mourn the passing of our mother, on December 5, 2002, in her 84th year. With grace and dignity at St. Joseph's Hospital Continuing Health Care, we lost our beloved mother, friend, grandmother, mother-in-law and great-grandmother. She was a retired employee of Dofasco. Phyllis's zest for life and infectious spirit will remain a treasured memory. She leaves a lasting legacy of love, laughter and compassion for all those who had the good fortune to know her as a family friend, a friend or a colleague. The family thanks all those who offered their love and support. Special thanks to Dr. Ludwin and all the Doctors and Nurses for their tender care and love provided by St. Joseph's staff who contributed to Phyllis's care and need for comfort over the past several years.

Phyllis is loved and will be so deeply missed by her daughter Joanne Dymond, and son Robert (Bob) Smith. Also missed by her grandchildren Debbie (Ed), Larry (Nicole), Denise, Valerie (Rich), Trevor (Jenna), and great-grandchildren Tanya (Mike), Allana, Kayla, Tiffany, Miranda, Kamryn, Kelsey, Ashley and Aaron, Patty Allen, and Harleigh, and great-great-granddaughter Kylee. Survived by brother Raymond REYNOLDS (Rose), and brother-in-law Don Smith (Mary), and sister-in-law Dorothy Smith. Also remembered by several nieces and nephews. Phyllis will be fondly remembered by all who had the honour of knowing her. Predeceased by her husband Stanley (Bud) Smith, mother Louise (Hendley) REYNOLDS, and sister Norma (REYNOLDS) Miles.

Friends and relatives may call at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (905-544-1147, www.lgwallace.ca), on Sunday and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday 11 a.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the St. Joseph's Continuing Care Unit as an expression of sympathy.
