I don't think I have ever found you'r message to me before.
I have often wondered if Henry & Andrew could hav been brothers.
As for the parents, I haven't a clue. Can't enver prove that Henry first name was Jacob. All paper work I have found here in Logan Co. has Henry, as does his marriage.
I have looked at Wm. b. abt 1745, that came into Oh. about 1800. By 1804 was living in Greene Co. He died in Urbans in 1825. Several of the other Rhoades around here descend from him.
Been told his son Sanford b. abt 1789 Pa. married Elizabeth "Betsy" Hutson b. 1790 d, 1819, d/o Skinner & Jane Kelo Hutson.
The intesting thing about this is, tha Mary Catherine Linson's
people & the Hutson's were both earlier settlers of Stokes Twp. Madison Co.
A Cinthian Rhoades married Henry Baker 21 Nov 1830. Henry Rhoades married Catherine Linson 23 Nov 1942.
Someone has told me Sanford & Betsy had 3 children before she died. 2 sons & a dau. I'm thinging Henry was the younger of the three.
I've been sent a page from Ind. Marriages, that shows Sanford moved that way & remarried. in Wayne Co. Marriages Records pg. 112 shows Sanford marring a Nancy Smith 29 Aug 1820.A-34 (Probaly Marriage Book A pg 34.)
If he was there farthur, maybe he left the 3 kids for the Hutson family to raise.
I've found nothing to prove any of this. If we ever do, and Sanford was the father, then it just takes us back 1 generation to Wm. & another died end.
Since they have so much abot Wm. on line, I am sure if anyone had come up with his background, something would have been said.
