In cleaning out my parents' home, I have come across a collection of photos, many without names but quite a few with names. The majority of the named photos are GEORGE family but there are others mixed in as well and I suspect these people may all be related somehow.

We are not related to any of these families and I can only guess as to how these photos came to be at my parents home.

I would like to pass these on to someone for whom they hold some significance.

I have also posted this on the WHITING board.

One of these photos is of a very elderly but spry woman. The info on the photo back says: NANCY JANE RHODES WHITING wife of JAMES COLE WHITING.

I don't know where she is from but because the bulk of the photos in this lot are from eastern MA with a few from NH, ME AND RI, I'd guess this area to be her home as well. The photos in ths lot are all right around 1890-early 1900's

Other names in the lot: BALL, BLAKE, BURT, COOK, DEAN, DURHAM, FERGUSON, FOSTER, HOLDEN, MILLS, MORSE, TAYLOR, WARREN, WEBBER.
