I firmly believe that William Rhodes, Jr. is NOT a son of William Rhodes,
Sr., son of Hezekiah Rhodes and Ann Elizabeth Nicholls. I have seen him referred
to as "William Rhodes J.P." The son of Hezekiah and Ann Nicholls, William
Rhodes, Sr., did indeed marry Elizabeth Wofford in North Carolina before they
removed to Union District, South Carolina Colony circa 1760. She was born at
Prince George's County, Maryland Colony. He was a cooper--barrel maker and they
both died at Union District, South Carolina circa 1780. Most of their offspring
relocated west of the Savannah River to Augusta and Hepzibah in Richmond County.
