Hello, new member here.
I am in search of the father of my James RICHARDSON who married Sophire
SIMPSON (daughter of Samuel SIMPSON and Unknown) about the year 1809 in
Union Co.,SC. James was born July 28, 1777.
His father is believed to be a man named John RICHARDSON who died in the
Revolution, possibly at Valley Forge. This is heresay, passed down through
the generations. Another story told is that John's family came to America on
a boat named "Ye Friendship" in 1684 captained by a Richard BATT.

The James RICHARDSON (also went by RICHERSON) family moved from SC to
Williamson Co., TN in 1830 and to Henry Co., TN by 1840, then on to Franklin
Co., IL in 1863.
