Dana -

I have "thousands and thousands" of TILLMAN relatives in my database.
The plurality seem to be from Indiana (the plurality of those from
Randolph County, Indiana...including my direct line). I did not see the
given name "Leo" or even "Phillip" in my TILLMAN files. Your
RICHARDSON grandfather probably married a TILLMAN wife and
named Leo and Phillip after his side of the family (?...a guess). TILLMAN
could have been a middle name carried over from the mother's line.

fyi...the wife of Alexander Wiley RICHARDSON, mentioned in a
couple of my recent messages, Elizabeth GIBBS...her mother is
Sarah (TILLMAN) GIBBS. For a few generations of their descendants,
TILLMAN was a common middle name...also spelled TILGHMAN.

...a few more clues anyway.
