Anthea...I don't know about a specific John, but I was out on St Kitts Island
last year. St Kitts was settled in the 1600s with large plantations and
slaves by the English. I had a chance to poke through some archives and
there were Richardsons all over the place. The name is considered very
common throughout the west Indies and I have been waiting to find the
Richardson thread that went out there. Ikeep searching my ancestors who came
over in 1635, wondering if a brother or cousin instead went to St Kitts. One
day we will find the right thread and it will open up a whole new "family".
Some of the Richardsons are white and many are black in St Kitts.
