I am sorry I have no dates for Matthew or Jane. But his sister Margaret Jane Pickens was born in 1797 in Abbeyville,SC. She died February 15, 1844 in Maury County TN. I don't know if Matthew was older or younger than Margaret Jane. Their father was William PIckens b. April 27, 1749 in Augusta, VA and died May 6, 1835 in Maury County TN
