RICHMOND Ms. Sarah Elizabeth Miller Richmond, 80, of 219 Forest Hills
Ave.
passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center
following a brief illness. She was a native of Spartanburg, S.C., born
June 26, 1919, to the late William Oscar Miller and Lilia Earls Miller.
She had resided in Winston-Salem for fifty years. Ms. Richmond was
a member of the Hanes Memorial C.M.E. Church, where she served
with the Nurses Board. She was a member of the Sisters of James H.
Young Memorial Chapter #592, Order of the Eastern Star. She is
survived by one sister, Ruth Danby of Lor ain , Ohio; a devoted great-
niece, Tasha Pegues of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and many other dear nieces,
nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be
Saturday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. from the Hanes Memorial C.M.E. Church
with Dr. Michael D. Williams officiating. Interment will be in the
Evergreen
Cemetery. The family visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday
at the church with rites by Sisters of James H. Young Memorial Chapter
