Special Announcement <Drum Roll Please>

As you know, the USGenWeb Auto-Query Form has been disabled.

A new form has been developed by your RIGenWeb Coordinators. This
solution is intended to be a permanent replacement. As in the past, we
ask that you begin your query posting by checking the RIGenWeb Query
Information page at http://www.rootsweb.com/~rigenweb/queries.html for
any changes. This is where you will find the links to all of the new
forms.

In addition to a separate form for each RI County, there is a new one to
be used for queries when the RI county for the query is not known. These
queries will only appear on the State Query and Surname list at
http://members.aol.com/riqueries/index.htm Each form also includes a
place for your home page URL.

You and the RIGenWeb County Coordinator will receive a copy of your
query by Email. The information will continue to put into the CCHelper
Query program developed by Patty Lindsay, and the queries will continue
to be available for searching from CCHelper Central. Please check the
RIGenWeb Query page for the latest URL since a change is expected in the
near future.

Tips for creating a good query. Please include as much information as
possible, including:

*Full name of the person, with the SURNAME in CAPITAL letters, given
name lower case.
*Known dates of birth, death, marriage, for the person and family
members.
*Most specific location known on this person (must name a County).
*Person's spouse(s).
*Person's parents.
*Person's children.
*Your specific question about this person.
*Your full - first and Surname.
*Your correct Email address.
If you don't receive a copy of your query via the automatic
E-mail, please contact the County Coordinator with details.

Please allow at least two weeks for the query to appear.
