Subject: VETERAN'S DAY (REVOLUTIONARY WAR)
Date: Tue, 11 Nov 1997 14:57:17 -0500
Today we had a Ceremony at Penn's Landing here in Phila, PA. and you know I
felt so dumb, being raised in the area, but have been gone 30 years. I
didn't know at Penn's Landing there are 2,000 unknown Revolutionary War
soldiers buried there.
Another reason why some of us can't find death records for our ancestors. I
been wonder since I got back from the ceremony, how many more spots we have
mass graves of unknown Revolutionary War soldiers. I know there are a lot of
mass graves around of Civil War soldiers, but didn't know the same is true
for Revolutionary War soldiers.
We had a very nice ceremony today.
Remeber a Vet today
