Hello Everyone,
I am new to this list, and I am wondering if
anyone is researching LEVY/LEVI in Rhode Island. It is
believed that NATHAN LEVI(later Levy) born circa.1720,
is from R.I.,perhaps Newport. Nathan arrived in Halifax,
Nova Scotia in 1750/51.
I have written to the Genealogical and Historical
Societies in the area but the only lead I have come up
with is a BENJAMIN LEVY born circa 1692,buried in Newport's
Jewish cemetery-father perhaps? (long shot,I know)
I would be grateful for any leads.
