There is some tangential evidence in an article in NEHGS Register Vol.
147, Oct. 1993, p. 373 about a Maplet Remington, dau. of Thomas and
Maplet (Gorton) Remington (the article is principally about MARY
Remington, younger sister of the Maplet R). It says that Maplet m. (1)
her first cousin Benjamin Wickes at E. Greenwich 16 Sept. 1733 and (2)
Capt. Josiah Arnold 15 Dec. 1745 at Warwick. Obviously this is not the
Maplet you are seeking, but there is a wealth of information about
relatives in this article; it might well provide the clue you need.
