JOSEPH3 SLOCUM (GILES2, GILES1)1 was born 30 Jan 1705/06 in Newport,
Newport, Ri. He married PATIENCE CARR2 27 Sep 1724 in Newport, Newport, Ri3,
daughter of CALEB CARR and JOHANNA SLOCUM. She was born Bet. 1701 - 1708,
and died Bef. 1743.

Notes for JOSEPH SLOCUM:
he m. 2nd in 1743, Hannah (Weeden??)
His father left to him land in Newport, but he removed to East Greenwich,
where he was made a freeman in 1723, living in that part of town that was
later set off as West Greenwich.

Marriage Notes for JOSEPH SLOCUM and PATIENCE CARR:
m. by Jonathan Nichols, Assistant, at the house of Samuel Dyre.

Child of JOSEPH SLOCUM and PATIENCE CARR is:
i. JOHN4 SLOCUM4, b. 01 May 1733, Rhode Island.
