p.s. I have found that the Catholic Churches vary widely in their response
to family history requests. Holy Rosary & St Josephh's in Providence were
VERY helpfull while a church across the river did not want to let me in the
door. Good luck ... church records can be more helpful than civil records ...
especially for the suspicious Irish immigrant.
