Hello List,

I am new to this list and decided to post a brick wall that I would love to
have some help hurdling. My gggrandfather was Edward Clarence BRIGGS, born
May 12, 1845-6 in Somerset, Bristol, Ma. He was married February 8, 1866 in
Providence, RI to Elizabeth KILNER. Now my question....Somerset has no
record of his birth but according to his death certificate, his parents were
James M. BRIGGS and Amanda M.L. EARLE both from RI. Edward enlisted in the
Civil War and this he did in Providence. Has anyone seen anything on any of
these ancestors of mine? Any help would be appreciated.
