Subject: [RIPROVID] Euart family in RI

Hi I'm researching my grandma's Euart family. I have some
information but it is very frustrating. I'm relatively new at this &
may be going about it the wrong way. The earliest record I have is
from the 1880 census in Hopkington, RI. Charles Euart (or Ewart) was
born in Scotland ca. 1829. I believe he emigrated to Canada &
eventually ended up in RI where he worked in a mill. Charles
married Catherine, who was born in Ireland, & they had 3 children:
Charles L.- 1862 in VT, John F-ca.1864 in NY, Edward- 1874 in CT. I
have a hunch it was a second marriage.
Charles L. was a woolen manufacturer. He moved to Providence &
married Mary A. They had 6 children. There was a Charles L. in that
family too.... I believe he went to Notre Dame, but he only attended
for 2 years. He married Sarah Gillooly in 1902 & became an IRS
agent. Is any of this sounding familiar to anyone? I keep running
into dead ends.
