Hi, Folks:

With all of those Smiths in Smithfield (and elsewhere in Rhode Island),
perhaps one of you may have the descendants of John Smith, son of John1 and
Phillis Gereardy. John2 was born around 1685; he married Mercy Westcott b.
abt. 1688, daughter of Amos and Deborah Stafford Westcott, on 7 January 1708.
They had six children that we know of: Margaret, Bathsheba, John3, Mary,
Mercy, and William (I have no dates or anything else). That is the sum total
of what I know of this family -- If you know something more than this, I'd
appreciate hearing from you.
