Hi,
I'm new to the list, but not new to research.
I recently determined that my Gaddis family from England, who spent a
few years in MA, moved to Johnston, RI between the 1850 & 1860 census's. The
last place I find them is in the 1870 Providence census. I have written to
the Archives for the parents death records, but they were not found there. Any
help on the following family or suggestions about where to try next is
greatly appreciated. Also, I would be happy to trade NH or MA Vital Record
research for RI research.:
James Gaddis, b abt 1810 Hayton by Brampton, Cumberland, England, son of
James Gaddis & Mary Modlin. Immigrated with family to Newburyport, MA 1840-42.
