Mary Jane:
I've taken another look and see that Peter R and Ann Waggoner had a child
named Lea (#418) that was born in 1803. Could it be that this is really Leander
as I was never able to find any baptismal records for Leander and the
assignment made by Mr. McConville (#429 in my book) was not confirmed.
At this point, it's possible that Lea and Leander are the same person and
your original speculation may have been correct. It would have him marrying at
age 33 which is "old" for that time frame, but??? Unfortunately, I do not
show the baptismal sponsors in my records and do not recall whether they were
listed in the church book although I generally copied all available
information. (Often this provides a lead as the name of the child often reflected the
name of the sponsor.)
As for the other daughters - I'll have to look these over and get back to
you.
Thanks, Chuck

Dear Mr. Rivenburgh,
I've written you before about Leander Rivenburgh who married Lydia Parmalee.
I thought he might be the son of Peter but you told me he was the son of
Johannis and Margaret Loop. Additional information has come to light.
I just received a list of Parmalee children. The brothers and sisters of
Lydia Parmalee. It appears that three of the children married Rivenburghs. I
don't know if the Rivenburg's were brothers and sisters or not. The
information I have is:
Philo Parmalee married Francis M. Rivenburg on 16 Oct 1834
Lydia Parmalee married Leander P. Rivenburgh on 24 Nov 1836 in New Lebanon,
Columbia County, NY
Truman Parmalee married Sarah Ann Rivenburgh, June 184?
This seems like it might be a great clue to the identities of these
Rivenburgh's.
Can you lend any insight to the findings?
