Hi Cousins,

I am looking for any "distant" cousin who may have any document on John C.
Roberts. He is the son of Joseph Roberts and Sarah Beman. He was married
to Harriet Stockwell. He is my one missing link to prove the I am who I
think I am. :-) I am looking for a copy of any of the following. Birth,
marriage, death, or will. I have checked with Albany, Plattsburgh, and
Clinton county and cannot find anything. John was born about 1812 in
Plattsburg, NY and married about 1846, also in Plattsburg. I have not been
able to get the 1870-80-1900 census to see where he stopped. My records
show he also died in Plattsburgh. That is open for debate. The other place
he may have died was in Tyngsboro, Middlesex, Massachusetts if he had moved
in to his son's home. His son's name is Darwin Roberts.

If anyone is related to this family and can shed some light on where I may
find a document to prove that John Roberts is the son of Joseph, I would
greatly appreciate it. I have the will of Joseph that mentions a John but
that does not prove that it is my John. I must have a document that shows
who John's parents were.
