Susan ~~~
I got a lot of laughs out of your post because I have several stubborn
ancestors too, one of which is my own paternal grandmother. Can you beat
that?? LOL
The line about the fortune teller, well, I never thought of that. Wondering
how much a fortune teller should charge? By the face? By the rolls of film
that stream by? LOL LOL

Sorry, I have to maintain my sense of humor on my stubborn ones, or start
searching a new family at random. . . . . .
hey bidder, bidder, how much am I bid for the Adam Adams family . . . ?????
LOL

Sincerely,

Beck

<< Hi,
I just had another thought go through this brain on finding my stubborn
ancestor. Since no agency in NY seems to have any BMD records of him and
find out what church or JP may have married him and his wife, Harriet
Stockwell, my next thought would be, how do I find and to whom would I write
to see if he was eligible to vote. He was born in 1812 so by 1833 he would
be able to vote. What kind of information was required back then when they
registered?

I have so many questions in trying to find this man and have tried just
about everything except a fortuneteller I am open to suggestions. I have
him as an adult on the census so that is not a problem. I need to find
something that will positively state who his parents were and I am also
trying to find when he died. I have ordered the 1880 and 1900 census
records from FHC. Just waiting on those. Trying to see when he disappeared
from the census rolls, at least for NY.

Thanks for everything,

Sue
