Subject: MOST WANTED ANCESTOR
Date: Tue, 27 Oct 1998 11:43:49 -0600

My most wanted ancestor is the parents of Jeffrey Robertson who settled
in Henrico Va., circa 1703. Assuming he named his children as per the
below naming pattern it would appear that his oldest son was named
after his paternal grandfather and the second son after the maternal
grandfather. If anyone has access to a book or material on Scot lineages
I would sincerely appreciate their looking to see what they can find.
Another Jeffery Robertson researcher provided the lineage at
the bottom. Dispite repeated requests that person has not sent any of their
evidence proving this lineage.
Angus "Scotty" Robinson

NAMING PATTERN USED IN SCOTLAND
Eldest son named after the paternal grandfather
Second son after maternal grandfather
Third son after the father
Eldest daughter after maternal grandmother
Second daughter after paternal grandmother
Third daughter after the mother.
