Lyla,

You wrote: "She also has a Christmas Card with Major David's house on it
with an article written by Rosalie and Wade Keever. It is a log home, she
says. Do you have a Keever in your data ??? I do not have any and wondered
what the relationship might be. I suspect it is a decendant.
Would love to find more descendants of the Hu Lawson Rogers Family."

Rosalie and Wade Keever:

Rosalie b 27 OCt 1912 d 2 May 1991
Wade b.4 April 1910 d 14 Mar 1992
Both were from Knoxville, Knox Co TN

I found them in the book, "Old Speedwell Families". Rosalie is Rosalie
Ausmus.....dau of John Franklin Ausmus b. 26 Aug 1862 and Matilda Walden 30
Aug 1887. Rosalie devorced Wade in 1970. They had two sons: Dale Wade
Keever b. 1939 and John A. Keever b. 1949.

Rosalie's father, John Franklin Ausmus, was the twin brother of William
Thomas Ausmus. Their parents were Thomas Ausmus b. 4 May 1883 and Mary
"Polly" Emily Rogers b. 8 June 1835. Polly was the oldest child Jesse
Lafayette (Mut) Rogers b. 6 Oct 1811 and the granddau of Maj David Rogers b.
3 Oct 1779.

So, Rosalie (Ausmus) Keever was the gr-gr-granddaughter of Maj David. Note
that Rosalie's grandmother, Polly (Rogers) Ausmus, named her first son Jesse
LaFayette Ausmus b. 30 Jan 1854 after her father, Jesse Lafayette Rogers.

Can you type or scan the article that she wrote? We'd love to see it.
Thanks.

Jerry
