Pat, this is interesting to me. The Documents sound like the Rogers, my
Rogers. I have a Copy of my g/fathers Will and he was also determined
that,only 1 son of 8 son's would inherit.There were 6 daughters.I also
noticed the business,which my g/father called the Merchentile. Three
marriages,1st and 2nd deceased before third marriage.All within 10 years.The
3rd was my g/mother.There obviously were some problems as I have located 6
first cousins that I should have known, but did not.We are happy to have
contact after all these years.What I have at this time is Family Bible
Records, and what my father told me.My father stated that his gg/parents once
owned ,what is now Ronoak Va and property in the Mount Rogers, or Rogers
Mountain Va. area.I have a Book containing the Charles Rogers
Descendants,however, we are not in this Book. At this point in time, I cannot
get passed 1872, my g/father, Charles Edward Rogers/Rodgers(Ed) seems to have
just left his family out for some reason.He did not have a son Charles, but,
there are g/children with the name.He was b/Lincoln Co. WV. the Court House
in Lincoln Co. burned in the early 1900's.This could be a major factor.Had
the records not been moved before the fire.I will be checking this out in the
near future.When I have something definate, I will be in touch.Catch you
