I think you should start with a new list after 1/1-89 (and later each
new year) because the Index is accessible from .
After 1/1-89, the old list will be renamed FAMILY INDEX88 and stored
under the ROOTS-L list.

In case no one subscribing to the SOC.ROOTS mail list are aware of it,
all entries which has been transferred to the ROOTS-L mail lists are
stored in backlog-files at LISTSERV at NDSUVM1.

To retrieve these files (and other files on ), send
a file to or LISTSERV%
(or just if your mailer understand that address)

stating

SENDME FAMILY INDEX ROOTS-L in the first ordinarily line of text.
(or SENDME <fn> <ft> for other files)

To get an Index, add the line
INDEX ROOTS-L
to your note.

Ex.:

Ex.:

To: LISTSERV%
Subj:

SENDME FAMILY INDEX ROOTS-L
INDEX ROOTS-L
REVIEW ROOTS-L

etc. etc.
