Summary: can I?
I've been using PAF on the PC for about 3 months, and mostly like it
alot. However, there are 2 things I would like to do that I haven't
been able to yet, and I wonder if any more experienced PAF users know
how to do these:
1. I would like to print a traditional tree-style listing of at least
2 generations. For instance,
dad & mom
|
-----------------------
| | | |
kid 1 kid 2 kid3 kid4
The "Descendants Chart" option of "Print Forms and Reports" gives me
the information I want, but in a sideways, nested format, like this:
dad
sp: mom
kid1
kid2
kid3
kid4
dad's brother
dad's brother's kids
dad's sister
etc.
Has anybody found a way to reformat the Descendants chart or to print
a traditional tree?
2. I would also like to be able to print a Family Group sheet with
certain fields omitted completely. For instance, the Christening
field doesn't interest me at all, and I would like to delete it from
the form, but can't figure out how to do it. I thought about making
my own user-defined form, but once I've done that, I can't figure
out how to define a focus group that includes a set of parents AND
their children, so they'd all appear on the same Family Group record.
Any help on either of these? Brian Bechtel & Ted Swift, I'm
counting on you!
Thanks much,
Holly
