In a discussion of mail between BITNET and GENIE,
"jprice%" mentioned an interest in the
BECK family. I may be able to help with the BECK information.

I have no direct information, but a friend of ours (James Beck, a
prfessor at Michigan State University) heads up a Beck Family
organization that has data on descendants of an original Beck who
came to Nova Scotia from England.

Jim has information on thousands of Becks who are descended from
that original one, and they have a big Beck Family Reunion in
Nova Scotia every few years.

If you are interested, I can look up Jim's address at home and
send it to you. (I don't know is he has an e-mail address; is
there anyone reading this at MSU who can help?)

(I originally addressed this directly to John Michael Price but
decided to send it to the ROOT-L list, in case others are
interested in the information.)
