A few years ago I undertook an effort to locate as many relatives as
I could but after a year or so I stopped. I am wondering whether I can locate
any additional relatives via the net (soc.roots). My family name is (really)
Cartoon and as far as I know we are from Kovno, Lithuania. It was from there
that my great granfather and his siblings left for South Africa then to the
U.S. I have heard stories of one of his brothers going to China?!? Since
moving from Lithuania I know they have branched out into London, Australia,
Johannesburg, Israel, and all over the USA. If you are a Cartoon relative,
know any Cartoons, or can locate any in you local telephone directory, please
let me know. I am interested in starting my geneology tracking again and will
be creating a database to assist me in my efforts.
