The Moyse name is a well-known French-Jewish name. It is a
corruption of Moshe or Moses. The father of modern Flute
playing was Marcel Moyse, (about 1880-1960) whose son
Louis is the directory of the Music from Marlboro series.
There are lots of books written about him, some may have
further geneological information.
