I have been working on my family history for the past 10 years since I was
15 years old. I got the urge to do it when I saw the mini-series "ROOTS" by
Alex Haley and the way he traced his family back to Africa. Being first
generation Filipino-American, I have traced my family back to 7 generations,
including proof of many relatives' existence via photocopies of baptismal
certificates.

My question is, "Are there any other ways for me as an Asian-American to find
resources on my family?" Of course I have read the book "Tracing You
PhilippineAncestry" and have gotten oodles os information from LDS Northstake
in
Indianapolis, IN, but it seems like that I can do more. Any hints or comments?

Also, I would like to correspond to anyone out there who is also tracing their
Philippine ancestry. The lines that I'm looking at are LIGERALDE and MILLARES.
Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
