HELLO ALL:

I have had in my possession the last two weeks or more the book titled

HISTORIC HOMES AND INSTITUTIONS AND GENEALOGICAL AND PERSONAL MEMOIRS OF
THE LEHIGH VALLEY PA, Vol II, Pub NY and Chicago, by THE LEWIS PUB CO 1905,
obtained by ILL and this copy from the High Library, Elizabethtown
College, Elizabethtown, PA 17022-2298

This book only lists in an index the name of the person specifically talked
about, and does not cross reference, siblings, parents or wives etc. Sure
wish it did!!

I have seen a lot of surnames from this area that are asked for a lot on
roots. In fact there was one query and I had just read what he was asking
for, so I have copied it for him.

I am going to send the index alphabetically in spurts till done. I hope
this helps someone in their further research. This book is pretty well
done and I sure wish I could get my hands on the person who did not better
index this book!!<g>
