The County Clerk where both my gr-Uancle Jerome (described below) and=20
wife Cynthia died in 1926 has no record of there deaths. Nor do the=20
adjoining counties. Any ideas?
JEROME VINTON, first son of Porter and Sarah Jane (Huff) Vinton, b.=20
1844; m. Cynthia B., b. 1858. During the Civil War he enlisted in=20
Battery I, First Illinois Artillery on Feb. 12, 1862. He re-enlisted=20
Feb. 9, 1864 and was mustered March 17, 1864. He was mustered out July=20
26, 1865. =20
His occupation was =91miller=92, probably at his father=92s grist mill. J=
erome=20
and Cynthia both d. 1926 and are bur. at Vinewod Cemetery, Edmore, MI. =20
Note: His Civil War unit fought first at Shiloh then throughout the war.
