This early publication on the history of Clarion County was dedicated
by A. J. Davis to "the people of Clarion County." Included is a history
of Pennsylvania from first settlement to the Revolution and from the
Revolution to 1877, including a history of the War of 1812 and Civil War
as it relates to Clarion County. Specific to Clarion County is

political leadership, schools, a history of each township and borough,
and biographical sketches of Clarion County residents. This is a "must
have" publication for the history buff, library and genealogist.
