Looking for parents/wife/children of Joel BAILEY b ca 1797 SC or TN,
lived in Perry Co, AL in 1830 census and in Lowndes Co, AL in 1840 and
1850 censuses. He had three sons and four daughters, one son being my
ancestor Albert BAILEY b 1824. Believe his wife's name was Mahala but
have no marriage record....just family folklore. Joel's name was also
spelled BALEY in a couple of censuses. Do any of you have any BAILEYs
in SC during 1797 who had a son named Joel?
