Has anyone ever requested an Iowa Birth Record? My mother in law
requested a copy of her father's birth record and had the birth record
coming back to my address instead of hers. Iowa Dept of Vital Records
wrote back and wants a copy of my mother in laws birth certificate to
prove that this is her father and they wanted to know what relationship
I am to the requester. I have never had this happen before. Is this
normal practice?
