*Opathieyahola - gallant elderly leader of the Loyal Creeks, died in
1862 shortly after the
First Indian Home Guard was organized from his followers.
This list was compiled through the courtesy of the National Archives,
Washington D.C. from the "Muster-Out" rolls of the First, Second and
Third Regiments of the Indian Home Guards .
Indian Staff and Line Officers who Commanded the Troops from the nations
of the Indian Territory. Serving in the Indian Home Guard Regiments.
United States Army.
(They were at Fort Gibson, Indian Territory (Oklahoma) and fought at the
Battle of Honey Springs.)

These may not be complete. I know that my ancestor was a chaplain in
one of the Indian Guard Regiments, but his name is not here .
