Hello Rooters,
I would deeply appreciate any information about the STEPHEY name. I
believe my great
grandfather was born in Lincoln, PA. Can anyone tell me the county that
Lincoln is in or if that is the county?
GEORGE W. STEPHEY b. July 12, 1848 married ANNA C. VOLTZ in Morrow Co.,
Ohio
on June 27, 1867 d. July 21, 1920 in Defiance,
Ohio.

At the time of his death his sister JENNIE STEPHEY HECKER (HACKER) was
living in
Lancaster, PA

George and Anna had seven children all born in Ohio. Most settled in
Wyandot and Hardin Co.

WILLIAM STEPHEY
LIVIA MAY STEPHEY
FRANKLIN EDWARD STEPHEY
CLYDAS (BERT) STEPHEY

The earliest I have found George Sr. in the census is 1860 in Morrow Co.
Ohio but no other Stephey member is living with him. I have no idea
who his mother or father are. His death certificate reads unknown for
both. PLEASE HELP.
