Manley A. Files, is the fifth son of John Files (1738-1781)! He was born
in Pendleton District, South Carolina! Manley was too young to fight in the
Revolutionary War as his father or his brothers, John, Jr., Adam Jordan and
Jeremiah Benton.
He married Sarah Sally McKinney (1777-1862) about 1802 in South Carolina
before moving into Alabama where they died! Manley purchased acres of land!

Sarah's and Manley's children are:

Maria T. Files (1805-1869)
+ James Rice (1799-1881)
m: 28th May 1826 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama
Manley A. Files, Jr. (1807- )
+ Jane ??? (abt 1809- )
m: abt 1828
Sarah Files (1813-1898)
+ Morgan McMorries (1809-1875)
m: 29th November, 1838
