If possible or if known, I agree with Mary! However, there will be cases
where this is not possible. My wife (since passed away) was adopted
at birth thru a lawyer. At that time, there was no hospital records with
her biological mother's name as all my wife's records show only her
adopted name and the name's of her adopted parents. The lawyer
has also since passed away.
I have done some genealogy on her adoptive parents, but have indicated
on her entry that she was adopted and on her parent's entries that they
were adoptive parents. I figured they are not either blood line or
herditary
figures as such, but deserve a postion in her life just the same.
