Bells Palsy is a viral infection that paralyzes usually one side of the face.
It usually affects people who are over 40 years of age. My son had it last
year when he was only 20 years old. It lasted for about 5 weeks weeks on him,
with a very slow lessening of swelling. He had to put drops in his eye every
few hours and wore an eye patch to bed, to keep his eyes moist so that he did
not have damage to his corneas's. He still has a slight almost unoticesible
droop in his right eyelid.
