Is there an historian out there who has specialized in the make-up of
the Grand Juries of Ninety Six District, South Carolina from the
beginning (perhaps as early as 1775?), definitely including 1778 and
1779, and continuing through all of 1784 or 1785, if possible?

My question is this: That area of South Carolina had many ardent Whigs
and many devoted Tories; were there any members of the Grand Juries who
were also known to be paid members of the armies fighting for England?

Thanks.
