My grandmother made a wonderful concoction from wild cherries, which are
darker, smaller, and more bitter than domestic cherries. She let it
ferment :0) and mixed it with sugar and hot water for a stomach ache.
I loved it! I had regular stomach aches, until my parents put a stop to
the "cure."

If we had a thorn or splinter, we taped a piece of fat from meat on it
to draw it out. It worked, too!
